In May 2024, the Makazi Foundation held a strategic engagement with teachers at Chiradzulu Secondary School to strengthen the ongoing partnership that began in 2022.

About the project

Teacher Involvement and Collaboration

The teachers expressed sincere appreciation for the Foundation’s continued presence and demonstrated strong interest in participating more actively. However, they raised an important concern regarding compensation for their time, as Makazi sessions typically occur outside the regular curriculum hours.

In response, the Foundation agreed to provide allowances to Form teachers who are directly involved during sessions with their respective classes. This approach ensures fairness while respecting the educators' time and contributions.

Enhanced Delivery Model

To foster deeper engagement, the Foundation resolved to shift from addressing the entire school at once to working with smaller class-based groups. This new model promotes more personalized interaction, better feedback, and a holistic approach to student support.

This meeting marked a renewed commitment to collaboration, co-creation, and sustained impact between Makazi Foundation and Chiradzulu Secondary School.
